About our ocean

"Our Sea" in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture, is where whirlpool champions and whirlpool kings grow.

Near our house is the Naruto Strait, located between Naruto City in Tokushima Prefecture and Awaji Island.

The Naruto whirlpools are generated by strong tidal currents caused by the tidal differences between the Seto Inland Sea and the Kii Channel.

During the spring and autumn high tides, the whirlpools reach a maximum diameter of 20m, making them the largest in the world.

The Uzushio series has grown in such a unique environment.

Summer oysters

Whirlpool King

The rock oyster "Uzusio King" is a brand of raw oyster in the shell, born and raised in Naruto, Tokushima Prefecture, where the producers themselves handle everything from seed collection to cultivation.

Iwagaki oysters are usually shipped after two to three years, but by cultivating them for four years , we have achieved outstanding meat yield and large meat size.

The size of the Uzusyo King oyster is large compared to other oysters across the country, and at over 300g it is a rock oyster worthy of the name King .

These rock oysters have very little odor and a perfect balance of the sweetness of the large adductor muscles and just the right amount of salty flavor.

Autumn to winter oysters

Whirlpool Champion

These true oysters are made from triploid seed oysters, which are less likely to spawn.

Because they do not spawn easily and do not lose weight easily, they always have glycogen stored in them, making these raw oysters delicious to eat all year round.

The biggest difference between these and regular oysters is the size of the adductor muscle and their sweetness.
The large scallops are very sweet, and their bouncy flesh exudes a fresh, juicy flavor.

The size is larger than a regular oyster.
